There have a been a couple of ocassions when the church elders disclosed a sin in a congregant's life (brought before the body) and in hearing it and seeing the member before us publicly confessing, repenting, asking for forgiveness, that my reaction was to get down on my knees. Unfortunately, some of the other reactions from some was a gasp, a whisper, some just standing there staring at the penitent member, a tsk, a slight wag of the head. Our GOD is "I am that I am" HE is All consuming, HE is indescribable because to do so, recalling every fathomable name, in every tongue, throughout the universe and for all time still wouldn't describe HIM. To do so would limit HIM. So coming to HIM, whether to surrender, to petition HIM, to seek HIM, to worship HIM, in adoration, in exaltation, to be chastised, for correction, for repentance & <br />forgiveness and to be called <br />home to HIM, our response should be to fall on our face, prostrate before HIM.Debbienoreply@blogger.com
